TOUR DIARY: Part One-Half Way Through
Dear friends, broken hearts, delightful green rooms, and more
Flew United, didn’t get the window seat I chose! Bought one of those neck pillows in order to sleep in a middle-row seat. It didn’t work, and I felt like a dog with a head cone. Landed and drove to York, sound check, dinner. Played a very sleep-deprived jet lagged show. So sorry York! However, what a lovely audience! Thank you York!
Liverpool - still a bit discombobulated. I really liked the venue. Fun show. I took a left turn and tried my hand at being an interviewer (don’t ask) - not very good at it. I have a new respect for people in that seat now. Audience was incredibly helpful giving me tips to give my goddaughter who will be moving there to go to school this year. I love you Liverpool - a bunch of drunkards!
Both nights I had dear, dear friends, and fellow musicians, visit and see the show. It broke my heart in the best way to see them after so many years.
Starting off this tour perfectly!
Hebden Bridge is a special place. Trades Club was a fun show with the best green room possible. It even had a piano! Finally met BUNNY in person and was not disappointed. Also got to say a last goodbye, until next time, to 2 dear old friends that I hadn’t seen in years who left me with a bag of snacks for the road to End of The Road.
End of The Road! What a magnificent place! I loved it. I only wish I had time to walk around more and see things. Every once in a while I think this is kind of like Burning Man in the forest.
I got to hang out with some of my favorite people. Tom, Louise and their wild crew also the Sidmouth gang who I will follow back to Sidmouth one day.
Let’s hope I get to come back on a stage at that festival and take some time off to camp out and experience the whole thing. It was a highlight.
Day off with a friend.

Fantastic performance at End of the Road, just not long enough to show the depths of your work. On my favourite stage though and worth missing Angel Olsen for! Hope to see you there again, fitted perfectly.
